Hon’ble Sir,

Happy 67th Republic Day. Long live Republic India.

Subject: Restoration, Rejuvenation & Protection of Historic Ramling River & the Dam of Ramling
Temple subsequently all the Historic Reservoirs in the Historic City of (Bijapur) Vijayapura.

We appreciate your care and concern for the water starved people of the Nation due to draught and flood in spite of non-favorable monsoons you have been struggling hard to solve interstate water issues, settlements and timely implementation of irrigation projects & especially your dream project of linking of Rivers & especially cleansing of Ganga & the Rivers & the Lakes is highly appreciated.

In this regard we earnestly request your kind attention and immediate action with regards the Historic Ramling River which is the life line of the District, which has been totally in the extinct, due to the lethargic approach and lack of implementation of the protection due to lack of political will and punitive actions by the concerned. Taking into account all the rivers, lakes, streams, reservoirs, catchments, aqueducts, wells & tanks basins in an around the city of (Bijapur) Vijayapura which have been totally neglected, which especially needs our share of care especially the water bodies around the city, namely Bhutnal, Begum Kere, Kalebag, Kasim Kere, Ramaling Kere, Mohammad Sarovar, Khan Sarovar, Ibrahim Sarovar, Torvi Sarovar, Rambapur Kere, Yogapur Kere etc., thus as a case study for (Bijapur) Vijayapura City can be a Worlds International Water Museum which can create an unique master piece & the wonder of the World. We hope you will take it as a challenge to depute a combat team to take stock of the situation & the Gravity of the problem, which may result in a catastrophe & may risk to life and property as the total wet lands have been grossly encroached mercilessly do to arrogance & ignorance thus violating the Supreme Court verdicts…

This has reference to the ground water table in an around (Bijapur) Vijayapura is depleting very rapidly and the main 5 rivers in undivided (Bijapur) Vijayapura are getting dry and the irrigation has hampered drastically affecting in migration. In adequate safe drinking water for both human beings & animals. Causing several water born disease.

For your kind reference and perusals soon we will send some of the relevant documents by Email.

           Thanking you,

             Peter Alexander
