Hon’ble Sir,

Greetings on the 67th Republic Day!!

We the youth of India should take, The Pledge that till our Last Breath
We will fight to protect all the natural resources for peace & harmony, we will protect our Historical water bodies for the welfare & wellbeing of the people who have already accomplished their best lives in past India & protect our Mother India for bright future for all with all we have Jai Hind,
Happy 67th Republic Day. Long live Republic India.

Subject: Restoration, Rejuvenation & Protection of Historic Reservoirs in the Historic City of
  (Bijapur) Vijayapura.

Our humble prayer to your kind self to save the world famous International Water Museum of the historic city of Vijayapura (Bijapur), which was the then capital headquarters of the Adil Shahi kingdom. The present city has around 82 listed heritage monuments and beautiful rivers, streams, reservoirs, lakes, underground water linking, beautiful wells, so called ASI protected monuments which are in a pathetic state and further most of them getting extinct and posed to serious threat and resulting in misuse of reserved lands meant for its overall development.

In this regard we earnestly request your kind self to take immediate action with regards to several, lakes, streams, reservoirs, catchments, aqueducts, wells & tanks basins in an around the city of (Bijapur) Vijayapura which have been totally neglected, which especially needs our share of care especially the water bodies around the city, namely Bhutnal, Begum Kere, Kalebag, Kasim Kere, Ramaling Kere, Mohammad Sarovar, Khan Sarovar, Ibrahim Sarovar, Torvi Sarovar, Rambapur Kere, Yogapur Kere etc.,.

This has reference to the ground water table in an around (Bijapur) Vijayapura is depleting very rapidly and the main 5 rivers in undivided (Bijapur) Vijayapura are getting dry and the irrigation has hampered drastically affecting in migration. In adequate safe drinking water for both human beings & animals. Causing several water born disease.

We earnestly request your kind self to direct all the concerned authorities & Departments to study the situation and take immediate necessary action in this regard to avert devastating situation like flood and Drought situations which prevail together at the same time.
